Morel mushroom hunting is popular during the April getaway! Pistol Shooting – We’ll be offering pistol instruction and target practice (shells not included – $9/box.) Whether you are an experienced markswoman, or just interested in learning a little about firearm safety, we’ll be there to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience. You may bring your own pistol or try one of ours. (We only carry .22 shells in our pro shop for pistols.)
Wine & Design Class– Enjoy time with your friends painting along with enjoying some wine. You will take home a painting for you to remember your special weekend. You will need to sign up in advance when making reservations. Limited to 10 girls each class. ($35/ per person) *please bring cash or check for this activity. Massages – Relax and let one of our massage therapists give you a relaxing massage to help you unwind. You will need to sign up in advance when making reservations. ($80/45 minutes per person.) Explore our miles of scenic trails while horseback riding or riding an ATV (Rental UTVs Available). You can also try your hand at sporting clays. Gun rental and shells are available. You can also shop and see the sights at our many area local attractions. All activities are weather permitting and not included in the price below. |

Yes, all our activities are optional. You can participate in as many or as few as you would like.

Yes Heather, We still have availability in April and May but they are starting to fill up. We have 27 rooms available for each weekend.

Is $355 the price for the whole weekend? Or per day?
Amber that is for the entire weekend. That price is per person for double occupancy in one of our suites at the Sunset Valley Lodge. We have other lower pricing options as well, but those suites are very nice!

I was wondering if the price per person was for all 3 nights or do you pay that for each night?
The price quoted is for Fri and Sat nights. You can add a third night at the discounted rate.
How many people can you accomdate? Do you rent cabins and atvs and horse back riding without meals wine testing? If you,do rent other times could you send me prices etc. I belong to a women’s group and approximately13-20 of us get together at least 2 times per year. We just spent a long weekend last weekend together and are looking for a summer place. We usually shoot for right before or after the 4th of July.

Hi Cindy! Thank you for the message. We have 31 rooms total in three lodges and one cabin. Yes, you can stay without meals. We have different pricing for different room types and times of the year. Our prices start at $99/room for that time of year over a weekend. If you include a Sun – Thurs stay the rate goes down for those nights. Is there an age requirement?
Hi Abbie! There is no age requirement besides the wine tasting (21). There are some age requirements on the ATV riding (16) and horseback riding (10) if you choose to participate in those activities. Thanks! Gary

This looks great! Do you offer the custom pillow cases as part of the package? Also do you offer massages or scrap booking?
Hi Kate! Thanks, it is a fun weekend! We do not offer custom pillow cases. The girls in the picture have attended several years in a row and came up with their own unique things each year. We do offer massages and thye must be reserved in advance. During the Girls’ Getaway weekends we don’t offer scrap booking but we do have scrap booking groups that stay at the lodge.
Are little girls allowed on this?!? I would love to have a get away weekend just me and my mini!
Hi Katerina! We have never had any little girls attend a Girls’ Getaway before. This year we do have a teenage daughter and Mother attending. We do not have any age restrictions besides you must be 21 to participate in the wine tasting. The girls do tend to let loose and have a good time though. If you have any concerns you are welcome to bring your daughter any weekend for a special getaway. Mother and daughters do this all the time.
How much are the massages that you offer? Do you need to book when reservations are made? Do you need to book horseback riding when the reservations are made?
Hi Denise! The massages are $65 for 45 minutes and you will pay the massage therapist directly when you are here. Advance reservations are required for the massages. I recommend booking the horseback riding or any other extra activities in advance as well. Thanks!
Hello! Some friends and I are looking at your girls weekend, possibly the April or May weekend. We know of 4 ladies for sure, but it could be up to 8. I see that the pricing is based on per person for the weekend for double occupancy? Are there cabins to rent with several bedrooms, or do we stay in a large lodge with several bedrooms and other guests? Just trying to visualize what we are looking at…. Thank you!!!
Hi Jill, thanks for the comment. There are three main lodges for the girls getaway weekends. There are 7 – 13 rooms in each lodge. With 8 girls you would have 2-4 rooms depending on how many you put in a room. The prices are for double occupancy. Girls have put more than two in a room.

Hi Susan. We always announce the weekends by email first, so if you have not signed up for our Girls Getaway email I would do so. I am sorry you missed out on April and May. We just announced it on Friday and they were sold out by Monday. We still have some spots open for July though if those dates would work. I am not sure if we will have a fall date this year or not. September weekends normally sell well in advance and in order to do the Girls Getaway Weekends we have to have the entire place available. Even though its early in the year, we probably have some rooms booked each weekend in September already but well will look into it. October we have to leave at least one lodge open for our hunters but we are looking for a way around this in the future. We are also going to add a winter getaway in 2017.

Hi Michelle! We are not sure if we are going to this year. We will be adding a winter one next year and possibly more dates during other times next year. The issue we have for this year is that we need a weekend that we have no other guests already booked and that is difficult to find. Hi Kelly! We had an opening for May just come available if that would work for your group. Right now it does not look like we will be doing a girls’ getaway in the fall this year. We need a weekend that we don’t have any other people booked and every weekend this fall has an existing reservation already. We are adding a winter date in 2017.

Do you have a space so that 6-8 girls can stay together?
The All About The View Suite has a king bed and a queen/twin bunk. You could also easily put everyone in two rooms next to each other. Our Heavenly View Cabin is an option but its not available during the Girls’ Getaway Weekends.
A group of ladies meet monthly and have traveled together. We are all from the same Class of 70, Hannibal High School. We call ourselves the SOS or Sisterhood of Squirrels because we are a crazy, nutty, fun loving group. I am investigating a possible weekend getaway for us…probably 10 ladies.
Some of us are not as mobile as other but none of us need wheelchairs yet!!!!! Please add me to you newsletter/email.

No, our brunch is so big most girls are not hungry until dinner. But you are welcome to bring snacks. There are also local restaurants if you wanted a lunch.

Hi, I’ve never been to Harpole’s and it looks like it would be the perfect place to celebrate my upcoming 50th b.d. I’d like to bring a small group of girls for the weekend. It doesn’t appear that there are any fall dates for the “Ladies Getaway” weekend, do you have similar package deals where 4-5 women could stay in a large suite with meals included and a few activities? Or we can pay for activities separately based on pricing and what’s available. I know we’d be interested in some outdoor activities like horse back riding, hayride, ATV rides, cruising on the water, if that’s available. We’re not as much into crafts, we like to do things we can’t do at home and the views look amazing!

I noticed that there’s only a specific weekend for the girls weekend offered. Do you offer additional girls weekend packages throughout the year?
